CRYSTAL ANDERSON
Nursery Assistant
Crystal Anderson grew up in Staten Island, New York. She graduated from Susan E Wagner High School in 2001. Following graduation, she worked as a secretary for two years. In 2003 she enrolled in The College of Staten Island, where she majored in psychology. She completed her bachelor's degree in January 2007.

She loves being around children and has been babysitting infants and toddlers for her friends and family for years.

Carolyn Clark is a native of Pasadena, Texas. She has been playing keyboards and directing choirs in churches since the age of 14. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree from the Manhattan School of Music.

As a French hornist, Carolyn has performed throughout the United States and Canada with symphonies, opera companies, and Broadway shows. She currently performs in and serves as executive director of the Staten Island Philharmonic.

Church Secretary
Born and raised in New York City. Have been a New Yorker all of my life. Moved to Brooklyn where I attended Brooklyn College. My first position was as a secretary in an Art School in Manhattan. I have been a secretary to a Rabbi/congregation in Manhattan Beach Brooklyn, and a legal secretary for many years to an estate planning attorney in Manhattan. I was secretary to the president of an insurance company, and for six years I was the Office Manager/Secretary for the Regional office of Women’s American ORT, here on Staten Island. I have been the church secretary with the Unitarian Church of Staten Island since May, 1998.

Supervisor of Building & Grounds
Brian I. Fontana was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1960. He has lived in Staten Island since 1963. He graduated Curtis High School in 1978, earned an associate degree in 2003 and also earned a bachelors degree in psychology in 2006. Both degrees were awarded with honors from the College of Staten Island. In 1980 he worked full time for Snug Harbor Cultural Center as a Maintenance Tech, Level II. He has worked full time for the New York City Department of Transportation since 1983, first as a Traffic Device Maintainer, and then as a Traffic Control Inspector since 1998. In 1991 he became Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds at the Unitarian Church of Staten Island, a part-time position.
PATRICIA H. MURPHY dre@uucsi.org
Director of Religious Education
Patricia Murphy brings direct and supervisory experience from a wide range of social programs to her ministry as the Director of Religious Education. In her early work with the YWCA she established programs for pre-dropouts, arts programs for inner city kids, and services for pregnant teens. Later she worked as an advocate for folks in congregate care and as a private geriatric care manager. She is beginning to achieve some recognition as a lyric poet whose work is often inspired by issues of peace and social justice. She has two grown sons and one grandson and has lived on Staten Island for four years.
